MY STORY

Rob-1 came up in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He began writing music at the age of 17 as a way to cope with the day to day. His music ignites discussion about the world we live in and how it helped shape him as a person. Rob-1 speaks with honesty, anger, confusion and humor offering a fresh perspective on what it means to grow up on the wrong side of the tracks. PoorGuyRap was born out of the idea for someone to be rich you have to have poor.
